From a Xero invoice to a reconciled payment
Sign in with Xero
One Xero sign-in connects every Xero organisation you authorise, each as its own PaidonDue workspace. PaidonDue asks Xero for access to contacts, invoices, payments and settings, so it can read invoices, record payments and let you choose the bank account they are recorded against.
What comes across
Authorised sales invoices with an amount still due sync in, with the customer, their email, the amount owing and the due date. Xero can notify PaidonDue when an invoice changes, and PaidonDue also refreshes when you open it, on a regular background check, and when you press Sync.
Paid here, paid in Xero
Turn on payment recording in Settings and pick the Xero bank account. Each collected payment is then recorded against the same invoice in Xero, with instalments as part payments, so your bank feed matches an invoice that is already marked paid.
What is special on Xero
A Custom Payment URL puts a PaidonDue payment link on the invoices you send from Xero, for customers who want to pay by link. Recurring schedules, such as monthly memberships, create each cycle's invoice in Xero.
What to know about Xero
Older Xero connections may need re-authorisation before PaidonDue can record a settled payment on the invoice. Invoice access alone may not include that permission.
Collection can only be scheduled for an eligible invoice when valid payer authority is on file and required notice has been sent. Payment timing and outcome may vary.
Questions merchants on Xero ask
I connected PaidonDue to Xero months ago. Do I need to do anything?
Older Xero connections may need re-authorisation before PaidonDue can record a settled payment on the invoice.
Will every invoice in Xero be collected automatically?
No. Only eligible invoices can be scheduled, and valid payer authority and required notice must be in place. Timing and outcome may vary.
